Les Joines Memorial Trophy - Most Meritorious Underwater Colour Print or Slide

The trophy was donated by Mrs Les Joines in 1972 in memory of her husband who was a founder member of the club. The trophy was commissioned of Mrs Pat Williams. It was a stylised rock with blue glass and was a table lamp. The trophy was lost between 1983 and 1986. In 1988 it was replaced with a large shell made into a table lamp.

Mayor Island Photographic Trophy - Most Meritorious Underwater Black and White Photograph

This Trophy was donated by Max Hetherington and was originally swum for at Mayor Island at Labour Weekends. With the demise of the Mayor Island Mini Convention it was passed to the club by agreement for a club competition. The trophy is constructed of kauri timber from Max’s grandparent’s home and is mounted with obsidian from Mayor Island.
